Olivia received her bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from Boston University. Before joining UChicago, she worked as a neuroimaging lab manager at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center studying the biological mechanisms underlying psychosis. Her current research is focused on building population-based models of the vestibular inner ear to understand how head motions are encoded in the periphery. During the summer of 2024, she pursued an industry internship at Genentech to analyze imaging data collected during clinical trials for patients with Alzheimer’s.
Outside the lab, Olivia enjoys open-water swimming at Promontory Point, hiking, and traveling internationally. Her most recent adventures include Morocco, Switzerland, the Azores, and Egypt.
